Dr Rangarirai Mathias Mavhunga
Dr Mavhunga is an entrepreneur and is a guru in the financial and microfinance field with a career spanning over 34 years in various senior management positions in both local and regional financial institutions. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the Commonwealth University; BSC Economics Honours Degree; various post graduate diplomas including Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from University of Natal where he was inducted into the Golden Key International Society for academic excellence in 2002. He has completed several Executive Development courses at Oxford University’s SAID Business School and is an Oxford Alumnus.
He is the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of FMC Finance Holdings, a Pan-African financial services company which has operations in Zimbabwe (where it is a leading microfinance institution) and in Zambia.
Dr Mavhunga has won numerous accolades and gained local and regional recognition for his business expertise including; Businessman of the Year 2016 – Second Runner-up – Megafest; IODZ Director of the Year 2016 Merit Award – Large and Listed Company; Businessman of the Year 2016 – First Runner-up – Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC); Businessman of the Year 2017 – Northern Region – Megafest; National Businessman of the Year 2017 – Megafest; Businessman of the Year 2018 – Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) Mashonaland Region; Leader in Microfinance 2018 – Megafest; National Businessman of the Year 2018 – Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC); National Businessman of the Year 2018 – Zimbabwe Business Awards Council; Most Outstanding Businessman of the Year 2018 – Megafest – Northern Region; Top 5 Outstanding Businessman of the Year – Megafest.
Ben Rafemoyo (Dr)
Dr. Rafemoyo holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) (Commonwealth University); Masters Degree in Administration (MBA) UZ and he is a fellow of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers. He is a former Group Chief Executive Officer of ZESA Holdings. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe. Ben is the Chairman of the FMC Finance Board.
Phillipa Magnify Phillips
Mrs. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) French and Private Law Major (Cape Town) and Master of Law (LLM) with Temple University (Beasley School of Law Philadelphia, Pennyslvania). She is a Board Member of IODZ; Zimbabwe Women’s Bureau; Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association; National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment and Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce, Harare Branch Executive. She is admitted Advocate of the Supreme Court of Cape Town South Africa.
She has vast managerial and legal experience and is a founding Partner of Phillips Law.
Eldrette Shereni (Dr)
Dr. Shereni holds a Doctorate in Business Administration; (Canterbury University); MBA in Business Management and other several marketing qualifications. She is a renowned Chartered Marketer, Certified Fellow in Marketing and Strategic Marketing Consultant.
She currently operates a consulting firm called Kortliks Consultancy. Dr. Shereni has vast experience in strategic marketing and corporate communications having worked for big corporates like Netone, CBZ and First Mutual Life.
Garikayi Robert Bera
Mr. Bera is a seasoned commercial & corporate lawyer and business leader. He is a holder of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) LLB (Hons.) (UZ). He is registered by the High Court of Zimbabwe to practice as a Legal Practitioner, Notary Public and Conveyancer.
Mr. Bera has over 27 years experience and has worked with various professionals in local, regional and international jurisdictions, to engage with important stakeholders, including regulators, in different jurisdictions. He has also served on the boards of a number of well-established listed and unlisted companies in Zimbabwe. Including FBC Bank, and was the Legal Counsel for Zimplats
Jaqueline Hussein
Jacquie is a Chartered Accountant CA (SA) by profession and currently operates a consulting firm of public accountants called July28, which offers risk advisory, financial reporting and tax services to a wide array of clients. She has vast experience in Audit, Financial & Project Management spanning to over 20 years including working for Ernest & Young and First Mutual Asset Management. She is also involved with organizations that assist young upcoming entrepreneurs.
She is currently a Non-Executive Director of Simbisa Brands Limited.
